Apple pie recipe in a Airfryer (EASY TO DO)

Today in BiteMyRecipe We have prepared a quick and easy apple pie recipe in a airfryer, perfect for a family dinner or a birthday!

To make this apple pie recipe, we don't need an oven, a frying pan, a thermomix, or puff pastry.

It is a traditional apple pie that is easy to make, with very few ingredients and very few preparations.

There are many apple pie recipes like Grandma's apple pie recipe (very typical), Eva Arguiñano's apple pie recipe or the German apple pie recipe.

Each variety is different and you can also adapt them and add ingredients such as the apple and yogurt pie recipe or the apple pie with custard recipe.

They are all suitable and very tasty recipes, but in this case we wanted to prepare a quick and easy apple pie recipe in a airfryer to serve as dessert for a simple dinner.

It is true that it is not a fit or light apple pie since it contains refined flour and sugar, but not bad for a treat once in a while.

What I do recommend for this apple pie recipe in aifryer is to add a touch of cinnamon, which can be very good.

Tips for a good quick and easy apple pie recipe in a airfryer

  • You can use an electric mixer like me, a hand mixer or some traditional manual whisks
  • Make sure the sugar and eggs are well integrated before adding the flour
  • Do not add the wheat flour all at once but little by little and if you sift it before better
  • The apple can be left in small pieces but if you do not like to find the pieces you can crush it together with the rest of the mixture
  • I have used a rubber mold suitable for a airfryer but any mold will work, like an aluminum one
  • It is important to put a little oil and flour in the mold so that it does not stick (in rubber molds it is not usually necessary but just in case)
  • At first we put a lot of temperature but after five minutes we have to lower it quite a bit because otherwise it will be burned on top and raw inside
  • The trick of pricking with the wooden stick will let us know when our cake is ready to eat

Substitution of ingredients

  • White sugar ➡️ Powdered sweetener (quantities may vary)
  • Wheat flour ➡️ Oatmeal (it will be an apple pie fit in a airfryer but it will not have the traditional and original flavor)
  • Large green apples ➡️ Red apples or the brand you like the most
  • Round rubber mold ➡️ Aluminum mold or any mold suitable for air fryer
