Recipe of Chocolate and walnut sponge cake in Airfryer

Today in BiteMyRecipe We have prepared a recipe for a healthy and easy to prepare chocolate and walnut cake in a airfryer!

There are many recipes for chocolate and walnut cake, although the most common is a brownie.

You can adapt each recipe as you like (if you are lactose intolerant, change the milk and you can enjoy a lactose-free chocolate cake).

I have chosen to prepare a chocolate and walnut cake in a airfryer sugar free and healthier.

It gives me a good amount in a large mold.

I have cooked everything in my 5.5L Innsky air fryer.

If your air fryer is smaller you can try making two biscuitscupcakes or whatever you prefer.

Ingredients for the recipe for chocolate and walnut cake in air fryer

  • Whole wheat flour - 3,7 oz
  • 1/2 envelope of chemical Yeast
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp of Stevia powder
  • Olive oil - 70 ml
  • Semi-skimmed milk - 60 ml
  • Salt
  • 2 tbsp of dark Chocolate without sugar
  • Walnuts - 1 oz

Preparation in airfryer

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 50 minutes

  1. We melt half a tablet of dark chocolate without sugar in the microwave of 15 in 15 seconds
  2. In a food processor, grind the walnuts without turning them into powder.
  3. Preheat the airfryer to 150 ºC for a few minutes
  4. In a bowl add the eggs and stevia and mix with a stick blender
  5. Add the oil, milk and melted dark chocolate and continue beating
  6. Sift the flour, baking powder and add
  7. Add the chopped nuts, a pinch of salt and stir with a palette or spoon
  8. Pour the mixture into a mold suitable for air fryer and cover with aluminum foil, closing it well.
  9. We cook in the airfryer at 150 ºC for 45 minutes
  10. We take out and remove the foil
  11. We cook in the airfryer at 130 ºC for 5 minutes
  12. Let cool before eating at room temperature

Tips for a recipe for brownies and walnuts in a airfryer

  • If you don't have a food processor, use a knife and remember that They should not be very large pieces of nuts but not powder either.
  • To beat I use a rod mixer but you can with a hand mixer or manual rods
  • The order of the ingredients should be: eggs + sweetener, liquids and powder
  • I put aluminum foil so it doesn't burn on top but you have to hold it very well
  • You can divide the dough in two and make a batch of cupcakes if your pan is too small

Substitution of ingredients

  • Whole wheat flour ➡️ Wheat flour, oatmeal or mixture of almond flour and wheat flour
  • Stevia powder ➡️ Erythritol (a little more quantity) or sweetened yogurt
  • Olive oil ➡️ Sunflower oil
  • Semi-skimmed milk ➡️ Whole milk, lactose-free milk, skimmed milk or vegetable drinks (almond milk can be very good)
  • Sugar-free dark chocolate ➡️ 85% dark chocolate, sugar-free milk chocolate or whatever you have at home
  • Nuts ➡️ Almonds, raisins, hazelnuts, peanuts...
