Today in BiteMyRecipe We have prepared a recipe for homemade ham croquettes in a airfryer and with all the traditional flavor of a lifetime!
Grandma's ham croquettes, yes, those of a lifetime are very difficult to imitate and many cooks like Karlos Arguiñano or Gorka Barredo They wanted to imitate them.
I like that the recipe for serrano ham croquettes is creamy on the inside and crispy on the outside, in addition to that are not oily.
To achieve this I have used my airfryer, leaving the croquettes for a few minutes and getting a perfect golden brown but without them being "fried".
I no longer plan to use the croquettes from the cook because This recipe for ham croquettes is easy to make, and has all the original and traditional flavor of a croquette.
In addition, its ingredients are the ones you find at home and you can add more like a ham croquette and that or a ham and chicken croquette.
What I do recommend is that you try to cook the ham croquettes in the air fryer because it is a new world.
I recommend other recipes with ham in a airfryer, such as the recipe for a complete sandwich in air fryer, the recipe for pizza with a cauliflower base in air fryer or the recipe for stuffed breast empanada in aifryer

Tips for a good recipe for ham corquettes in a airfryer
Let the onion be very poached or you can even caramelize it
It is important to add the milk little by little to help it thicken faster, in my case I have used manual silicone rods but you can use a spatula
Serrano ham can be in tacos, a ham cooked in a broth or chopped slices of ham
It is important to cook in the pan over low heat so that it does not burn or stick
I use the trick of the two spoons to shape the croquette but you can use your hands (I advise you to put a little olive oil to manipulate them better)
You can use the accessory to shape the croquettes
So that the ham croquettes are crispy I bread them in that order but it can be done in the traditional way with flour, egg and breadcrumbs in that order.
Watch the croquettes the last few minutes to know the level of browning you like
Substitution of ingredients
Semi-skimmed milk ➡️ Whole milk, skimmed milk or vegetable drinks
Cornstarch ➡️ Wheat flour or wholemeal flour
Ham Taquitos ➡️ You can not add ham or change it for roasted chicken, bits of blue cheese or whatever you like
Spices ➡️ I accompany it with nutmeg and black pepper to taste but you can put the ones that best suit you
